Question by Cathy: Does anyone have a Brookstone Massage Chair?

Which model do you have? Do you love it, and think that it is worth the money? They have one around $ 2300 that is a whole body massage and reclines and looks like a good buy. There’s another more expensive one with a cd player and a side table. Does anyone have either of these, and what is your opinion of them?

Best answer:

Answer by Jack Meoff
I don’t own that particular one, but I highly recommend any good massage chair.

Read my page on massage chairs at:

http://www.a-body-for-living.com/massage-chairs.html

for a few tips which may help. Good luck with your purchase. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. Just make sure you make your purchase from a supplier that offers a money back guarantee.

Answer by iamqueww
I have a friend with the whole body massage chair from brookstone and he loves it. He works at a computer and brags about it whenever a long day of work goes by.

BTW, there are some coupons for brookstone at http://www.24houredeals.com/Brookstone-coupons-356-mer.html including a $ 100 off until the 31st.

Good luck.

Question by Ryan: why do you have to be 18 to sit in the massage chairs at brookstone?

A couple years back I was at brookstone and sat in one of those awesome massage chairs and soon a manager came up to me and said you have to be 18 to sit in the massage chairs. WTF? do these chairs get you high or something? (I wouldn’t doubt it, these chairs are awesome)

Best answer:

Answer by _Justified_
because you are considered a minor under 18

Answer by Jyang772
So that they can sue you if you break the chair…

IDK

Answer by PS360
The chairs could hurt young peoples’ backs or damage them somehow, especially the children… and the store owner or company would be held liable if the young peoples’ parents pend a lawsuit.

Answer by John
Becuase they massage your back and your “area” and you have to be 18 to get that massaged..

Answer by joshdrmr
The massage can do more harm than good to a minor because their bones are still developing. The age limitation is mostly meant to keep young children out of the chairs because they’re not really tall enough for their heads and spines to be where the chair expects them to be. It would wind up treating the back of a kid’s head the way it treats a grown adult’s spine. It’s just easiest to draw the line at something solid like the age of legal adulthood.

Additionally, teenagers who come in just to hang out aren’t likely to actually BUY a massage chair, so they’d just taking up space that would be better occupied by someone who wants to try a chair because they’re actually in a position to buy one.

What do you think? Answer below!

To clear something about what this website is about, the information on this site refers to electric massage chairs that serve orthopedic functions. Such as those produced by Panasonic, Premier, Brookstone, or the iJoy by Human Touch-you get the idea. What we are not talking about are the front support chairs you put your faces into. Not the ones at the fairgrounds next to some creepy Asian guy offering a chair massage. Call me weird but don’t feel comfortable having another man touch me that intimately, I prefer a machine.

Those chair massages are usually short, anywhere from five to thirty minutes. Since they are usually outdoors in very public places, thank goodness it’s done through the clothing while you rest face down on a specially designed ergonomic massage chair by a professional practitioner. The massage typically focuses on key tension areas in the back, neck, shoulders and arms. Originally dubbed “on-site massage” since the massage chair is portable and is brought out to the site of where the massage is to be performed. However, this kind of onsite massage service is now more commonly referred to as simply “chair massage” and sometimes as “seated massage”.

So unless you can somehow perform that level of detailed massaging to yourself or you’re like me and have half a dozen beautiful, sophisticated, attractive women capable of intelligent conversation eager to feel you up at any given time, THAT chair will not do you much good. Shoot, you can’t even watch ESPN on that chair with your face in the toilet-seat-shaped cushion you put your face in.

That’s why this website is focused on electric message chairs. Ranging from below $2,000 to a $7,000 massage chairs are not “one size fits all” and after spending that much you wouldn’t want to share it with anyone. Find the massage chair right for your particular needs and we are here to bring you more than enough information to help you make the right choice.
