Question by Gary D: Is it ok to use a Massage Chair while Trying to Get Pregnant?

We just got a brand new panasonic massage chair for the holidays and My Wife and I are trying to conceive our first child. Is it ok for her to use a massage chair while we are trying to get pregnant.. will it have any effects on conceiving? Thanks

Best answer:

Answer by Sara S
Yes it’s perfectly safe. But after she becomes pregnant and hits her 2nd trimester she should only use it on the lightest setting or for just a few minutes. Massage may actually help her relax and get pregnant more easily.

Also once she becomes pregnant avoid massaging her feet deeply until she hits 37 weeks. There are several pressure points on the feet that can iinduce labor.

Good luck TTC!

Answer by beach_cmj
Well it depends…Its better if you consult your gynae or a professional if you are trying to conceive…Some people said that too vigorous massage or exercise might affect what’s going on inside…search me…it will definitely gonna affect esp if your wife is less than 2 months pregnant. So to be safe, don’t massage if both of you are trying for a baby..in case there’s miscarriage without knowing it.

Question by Trevin’s #1!: How does a corporate or chair massage feel?

How does a chair massage feel?

Answer please!

Best answer:

Answer by Sweetbulbs
I had one it felt good but definitely not as good as e.a hand massage.

Answer by Southern Belle
Chair Massages aren’t meant to be as relaxing as a full body massage, they are more for rejuvenation and invigorating the body.

Answer by mizfurrocious
It also matters what the setting is. If you are getting the treatment in your cubicle, and you have a deadline, it’s not as relaxing as a treatment in a quiet conference room. the practitioner should work on your neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands. Quality varies WIDELY by practitioner. You should let them know if you want less or more pressure, and if you might be pregnant. Also ANY health concerns. You may think they don’t need to know, but what if you are mistaken?

What do you think? Answer below!

Question by John C: must you be licensed in massage to practice chair massage in colorado?

i have over 1300 hours of schooling and plan on taking the national boards soon. i am moving to Co. and i know the law states a board state exam must be passed, to attain licensure, is this same for Chair massage?

Best answer:

Answer by ivy_lmt
Yes. Massage therapy is massage therapy in the eyes of the law, whether it be on a massage table, massage chair, or floor. Just wait til you complete your exam and license. You are almost there!

Question by : What is the best massage therapy chair for my money?

My husband recently graduated from massage therapy school and I wanted to buy him a portable massage therapy chair. I’ve look online and I’ve seen a lot of options but I don’t really know a lot about them. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on which features or brands to look for. I only have between $ 200-$ 300 to spend. Thanks!

Best answer:

Answer by Tink
I would say the most important features are weight load (there are a lot of big people out there) and the adjust-ability of the seat (lots of tall and short ones too). I don’t know if you have the equivalent of craig’s list there, but I would look for a used one – plenty of people stop doing massage and sell used things very cheap. I know a number of people who have Earthlite and Custom Craftworks.

Answer by brunettebabe
I’m a massage therapist and this is the chair I would want. It comes as a package and this company is great. I have a table made by them and it is significantly better than other company’s tables. It’s on sale right now for $ 25 off.

http://massagetables.zoostores.com/massagetables_en/earthlite-avila-ii-massage-chair-package.html

You want a chair that you at least can compare to this one. Adjustable, high weight limit, light, thick cushions, and really well done upholstery that isn’t going to tear, wear out quickly, or stain.

Answer by Nicole Hunter
It’ll be a difficult choice…that’s for sure. There are so many good portable massage chairs out there. If I were you I would browse http://www.portablemassageshop.com/
They have product pages of portable massage chairs that are very descriptive and you could go on from there. Good luck, but I’m sure whatever you chose your husband is going to love it.

Question by Chris: Where to find a user manual for a ‘bc-11d’ beauty health massage chair?

I am visiting my parents house and they have a massage chair. Model Number: bc-11d
Its brand is beauty health. I searched online and I am having trouble finding any kind of manual. Does anyone know where to find a manual or know how to operate one? They have a lot of questions of which I can not answer.

Best answer:

Answer by Alissa
If search engines and manufacturer websites are of no help then ask a manual search agency (like http://manualfox.com ) – They do a great job.
The service is not for free, but often worthy – you only pay if they find what you are asking for.

Question by Morena Clara: is it okay if i set up at a park for chair massage?

im in desperate need of money so ive decided to set up my massage chair in a public park. i don’t have my license yet but im in massage school and only have 3 days left of school. i want to set up my massage chair and charge $ 10 for ten minutes. my question is would it be okay to set up in a public place like the park. i live in austin, texas if that makes a difference or something.

Best answer:

Answer by Pandas4me
check with the city to see if you need a permit first.

Answer by janeroth2
Not a great idea to do this in public.
You should place ad in craigs list and do this private that is better.
This is just my common sense.

Answer by versantly
of course -get a temp license from your city and make some money.

Answer by PiggiePants
You need to have a permit from the city to do so legally. And if you are in desperate need of money, you won’t want to pay the fine if you are caugh without one. For a permit yoiu will need to pay a fee, provide proof of insurance (in case you hurt anyone or they claim you hurt them) and a State of Texas Sales and Use permit. Contact the State Comptroller’s Office at 1-800-252-5555 for information on how to obtain this permit.
